Winter Shoe Fashion

Which winter shoes to buy The necessity to buy winter shoes comes with first frosts. But while the sun is shining nobody even thinks about the winter clothing and shoes. Maybe you just have two or three pairs in the wardrobe, but it’s just for few seasons. Result - earlier or later but we go shopping in search of winter shoes and we don’t always know what we need, how to choose qualitative shoes. Even in the warmest fur coat we won’t feel comfortable if our feet are freezing.
Everything about winter shoes
Winter shoes The requirements to winter shoes are the same as for any other shoes. Nice look is the first To which we pay our attention. And it is quite natural – everybody wants to have unordinary shoes. New fashion trends diversified the conservatism of winter shoes. That’s why in new winter collections you can always find something bright and extraordinary. It’s just the question of your taste.
But don’t forget that the production quality and comfort are more important for the shoes that we wear every day. The construction of all shoes can be divided in two parts – lower (sole) and upper.
Winter shoes sole is usually higher, that’s why sometimes there is no heel. And even if there is one, it is smaller, then on summer shoes. The sole pattern is aimed to prevent sliding, that’s why the more ledges there are on the sole, the more confident you’ll feel. But it can be a problem if you buy elegant women shoes.
Sole material can differ: rubber, polyurethane, PVC – they all are water resistant and quite durable. The main advantage of rubber sole is better quality of cohesion. Winter shoes with such sole slide less. Irrespective of the sole material, you’ll feel comfortable in those shoes, which easily bend. But don’t try to bend the shoe in to halves. It is enough, if the sole of winter shoes can be softly bend on 90°.
You should necessarily check the quality of sole fastening to the upper part. Winter shoes can be glued, sewed or there can be a combination of different fastening types. What is important and how to define the quality? A good way to check is to bend the upper part along the fastening line – if the shoes are sewed, threads should pull together, the stitch should be even. If the shoes are glued, there shouldn’t be any gaps or glue runs.
The material that is used for upper part of the winter shoes is thicker then on summer shoes. Though the requirements are the same, plus heightened water and frost resistance.
Here is everything you should know about the material. Natural leather as well as leatherette is used in the shoe production. Of course, the best material was always considered to be natural leather. It easily repeats the form of the foot, breathe well, and it is much warmer. Winter shoes from leatherette look as good as leather shoes, but creases on the bents appear relatively soon and, what is even worse, the shoes can crack in strong frost. Sometimes, toe and back part are made of leatherette and the rest is made of natural leather. Shop assistants often don’t tell about it. But you can define the leatherette – it is colder when you touch it.
Natural materials (sheepskin, fur) as well as artificial materials are used inside the shoe. Of course, your feet will feel warmer in the shoes with natural furs. Artificial fur can be defined by the typical shine, natural fur doesn’t shine so much. But if artificial fur is not much worse then the natural, the synthetic fur is not recommended at all.
Even if you bought qualitative shoes, you won’t be able to wear them if the size is not yours. In tight shoes, you feet will quickly get tired and cold. Besides, fur lining will wear out quickly. In winter shoes there should be a small distance between the feet and material. That’s why, it is often recommended to buy larger shoes. But you should be careful, loose shoes will trample down.
And of course in qualitative shoes you shouldn’t feel any stitches, otherwise you’ll just rub your feet sore. It is also advisable to check the surface under the insole. There shouldn’t be any folds and of course no sticking nails.
And of course try the shoes on before the purchase. Sometimes there are such defects as different length of some elements on right and left shoe.
Male winter shoes
Male winter shoes Men often have a problem with the shoes of their size. In European winter shoes collections the boot-tree is narrow. That’s why, these shoes don’t suit to those whose feet are wider then usual. In this case it is recommended to buy bigger shoes and to put additional insole.
Look under the insole, if it’s possible. The heel is fastened, well only if it is fastened on one screw or five nails.
The height of the shoes depends on your climate conditions. Nowadays shoes with obtuse rounded toe are popular. But if you wish, you can find something nice with a sharp toe.
Female winter shoes
Female winter shoes The most fashionable female shoes were always considered boots. They shouldn’t be tight, especially in the shank and foot bend area. That’s why it is recommended to buy female boots with lacing. If you like the model with zipper, you should check whether it works well and whether the fur lining doesn’t impede.
Another detail about fashionable winter shoes is heels. High heel negatively influences the foot and the possibility of slipping is very high. Don’t buy winter shoes on spike heels. As for the heel quality, it isn’t recommended to buy winter shoes with plastic heels. Selecting shoes, check the durability of heel fastening. Press the instep, if the heel shifts backwards, don’t buy the shoes.
Among the shoes from female winter shoes collection there are more sporting models, that resemble running shoes. These shoes will be more comfortable, but of course they won’t suit to those who work in the office.
Child winter shoes
Child shoes, winter as well as summer, should first of all be safe. That’s why, though the sole is thick, it should be also soft. While the child is trying the shoes on, ask him to roll from heel to toe and watch if it can be done easily. For good feet development, child shoes are usually a little bigger, but they shouldn’t shake.

Remember that winter shoes will serve you for a long time only if you will take proper care of them. That’s why you should buy special care substances at once. It is advisable to have few pairs of winter shoes, so that they can air and reshape sometimes.
